Conduct land and property boundary surveys using GPS, total stations, and other surveying equipment.
Analyze and interpret survey data to create detailed maps, reports, and legal descriptions.
Ensure all surveying activities comply with city, county, state, and federal laws, codes, and regulations related to land use, zoning, and construction.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure accurate site planning and boundary placement.
Research land records, deeds, easements, and historical data to verify property ownership and resolve boundary disputes.
Provide legal documentation and reports for construction projects, land development, and property transactions.
Maintain accurate records of survey results and assist in obtaining necessary permits for land use.
Summary
The Surveyor will be responsible for measuring, mapping, and analyzing land to establish accurate property boundaries and support construction, real estate, and engineering projects. The Surveyor will utilize advanced surveying tools, GPS, and geographic information systems (GIS) to collect and interpret land data while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of city, county, state, and federal codes and regulations governing land development and construction.
- Proficiency with GPS and other surveying instruments.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS software, and other surveying technologies.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains.
- Land Surveyor license preferred
