North Main Pet Lodge is a quality Boarding and Daycare facility in Walnut Creek seeking a hard-working, self-motivated, and passionate dog and cat lover to join our team part time.

Holidays and weekends required. Morning shift begins at 7am, afternoon shifts begin between 11 am and 1pm and work until 6:15 typically.
This position is responsible for the day to day care of our guests and the monitoring of their overall health, under the direction of the lead. You complete and or assist with the daily tasks which include, cleaning enclosures, providing walks, and individual play time, laundry, dishes and other tasks to maintain healthy environment for our guests and a clean and orderly facility.
Qualifications
You must be at least 18 and have some pet care experience other than caring for your own pet. We are seeking a reliable individual with a passion for pets, a positive attitude, good work ethic with attention to detail and cleanliness. Experience in a similar environment, Daycare Boarding /Kennel. Experience or training with dogs in a group play setting is preferable.
This is a position with opportunity for growth for the right individual. The position is physically demanding and requires you to be on your feet for long periods of time. Dogs and cats are messy. In addition to other tasks, you'll be cleaning, doing dishes and laundry, moping, vacuuming and sanitizing boarding enclosures as well as providing dog walks and individual play time with dogs and cats.

Requirements for Candidates:
- Must be able to work holidays and weekends (Please do not apply if you are unable to work on holidays and weekends).
- You must be at least 18
- You must have a passion for working with animals. Experience in a professional pet care setting… Boarding/Kennel, Daycare, Rescue organization shelter or training facility is a plus.
- You must have a strong work ethic, be patient, honest, responsible, punctual and very dependable.
- You must be able to follow directions and work independently at times, and coordinate with your team.
- You must value cleanliness and have great attention to detail.
- You value excellent customer service
- Comfortable working with all types and sizes of dogs and with cats.
- Able to be on your feet most of your shift walking, lifting, bending, standing and crouching.
- You must be able to lift 40 lbs.
- Able to work outside in hot, cold and rainy weather.
- Comfortable taking directions and working independently
Core duties and responsibilities vary but may include:
- Clean and maintain dog and cat enclosures (waste removal, hosing, scrubbing, vacuuming, sweeping, moping, sterilizing).
- Power washing, Laundry, Dishes
- Walking dogs (may require walking 3 large dogs at once) and providing personal play time for dogs and cats.
- Feed and medicate cats and dogs.
- Monitor health of pets in our care.
- Any additional tasks needed to help the facility run smoothly and stay neat and organized.
