What are the responsibilities and job description for the Public Works Seasonal Water Department position at North Mankato, City of (MN)?

MAJOR JOB FUNCTIONS:

Mowing and trimming.
Maintaing flowerbeds.
Painting facilities and water hydrants.
Assisting staff when necessary.

Required Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old or posses a GED.
Must have a valid Minnesota drivers license.
Must be able to perform general labor including frequently lifting and/or moving up to 75 lbs. and occasionally lifting and/or moving more than 100 lbs.

HOURS OF WORK: The position involves 40 hours of work per week. Work hours are generally from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Overtime work may be required due to scheduling requirements or emergency situations.

NATURE OF WORK: Under supervision, this position is responsible for cleaning and minor maintenance of water facilities. This position primarily consists of mowing, landscaping and building cleaning and maintenance.

Salary : $14 - $20
