Job Overview
North Mississippi Health Services is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Technologist to join our team. This role involves assisting the supervisor with scheduling, quality control, maintenance programs, and work flow organization.
- Assist in ensuring the accurate and efficient transportation of lab-related supplies, equipment, and specimens.
- Follow all relevant laws and regulations in the processing and transportation of laboratory specimens.
- Communicate effectively with all NMHS staff, patients, their family members, and customers.
**Responsibilities:**
- Coordinates work flow of phlebotomists in Specimen Processing area.
- Serves as Charge Medical Technologist (MT) in absence of supervisor or Lead MT.
- Supervises and trains new employees on proper procedures and policies.
**Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biological Science, or related field.
- ASCP certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist within 12 months after graduation from an accredited Medical Technology Program.
- Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record/history.
