Job Title: Medical Lab Technician
We are seeking a per diem/prn Medical Lab Technician to join our team at North Mississippi Health Services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the workflow of phlebotomists in the Specimen Processing area
- Ensure accurate and efficient transportation of lab supplies and specimens
- Follow regulatory guidelines for specimen handling
- Provide excellent customer service and address service recovery when needed
- Report accurate laboratory test results and maintain quality control standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree as a Medical Laboratory Technician from a CAHEA/NAACLS accredited program
- ASCP Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician, required within 12 months after incumbent's graduation form an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician Program
- Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record/history
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in a clinic or hospital laboratory in lieu of certification
- Evaluating processes and equipment for optimal organization and performance
- Assuring quality control is acceptable and required maintenance is completed daily in work area
