About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Operating Room Technician to join our team at North Mississippi Health Services. As a key member of our surgical support team, you will be responsible for preparing operating rooms for procedures, handling instruments and equipment, and maintaining a sterile environment.
Your primary accountability will be assisting surgeons as a 'scrubbed' team member, performing under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will also be responsible for handling instruments and all counts, including cleaning and assembly.
To succeed in this role, you will need excellent communication skills, the ability to maintain composure in a stressful environment, and a positive caring attitude towards customers and colleagues.
You will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team, interacting daily with patients, central sterile processing staff, and O.R. staff, as well as surgeons.
