Job Summary:
The Sonographer - Echo Cardiac Ultrasound performs echocardiography procedures, educates new personnel, and participates in Performance Improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct echocardiography procedures using M-mode, 2D, Spectral and Color Flow Doppler, Stress Echocardiography, and Transesophageal Echocardiography.
- Responsible for proper charting, filing, and charging of all Echocardiography procedures performed.
- Maintain adequate inventory of supplies needed for procedures performed.
- Participate in hospital and departmental on-going Performance Improvement activities.
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- 1-3 years of experience in echocardiography or related field.
