* **JOB SUMMARY** The EPIC Analyst at North Mississippi Health Services is responsible for serving as the EPIC Enterprise and clinic system specialist and overall administrator of system functionality including creation of templates and order sets, provision of recommendations on system and functionality improvements, planning for new module implementation, leading related project management, and supporting system configuration and issue resolution. This role collaborates with Ambulatory and/or Acute/Ancillary Manager and Clinical Director to strategically plan clinical system development and coordinates team members and trainers in identifying and addressing system and user needs to achieve optimal system effectiveness and use. **JOB** **FUNCTIONS** * This position requires extensive knowledge of Epic applications and clinical operations. It is the highest level application specialist and overall administrator of the system's functionality. * Creates and maintains templates, order sets, and provider favorites within the Epic System, including Epicare, MyChart, Healthy Planet, Care Everywhere, Epicare Link, Clin Doc, Willow, Stork, Dorothy/Comfort, Radiant, Beacon, etc., to include any/all Epic modules as apporiate and assinged. * Understands the integration of Epic applications and their effects on business processes and operations. * Stays abreast of functionality improvements in new versions and tests during upgrades; takes advantage of available resources to improve knowledge and understanding of the system. * Tests new releases and applies specialized knowledge and experience to ensure that version upgrades function smoothly. * Aids in planning for major new modules by assessing configuration needs, defining processes and tasks, coordinating activities, and assigning projects. * Trains and mentors new analysts. * Independently leads Epic projects as assigned including providing apporiate documentation and status reports, delegating and making assignments for project tasks, and creating project timelines in collaboration with leadership. * Performs system configuration and new project development, design implementation, workflow optimization, change management, and issue resolution related to the Clinic’s applications. * Leads and plans meetings to discuss team and project-related activities, issues, changes, communications, and updates. * Achieves and maintains certification status in assigned application(s) and working knowledge of other related applications. * Completes project tasks within the timeline as assigned by the Manager or application coordinators. * Champions and leads the project, providing support in ongoing implementations, optimizations, and upgrades. **QUALIFICATIONS** **Education** **Education Level** **Education Details** **Required/Preferred** Bachelor's Degree Preferred **Licenses and Certifications** **Licenses and Certifications** **Licenses and Certifications Details** **Time Frame** **Required/** **Preferred** Certification/license in a clinical discipline Upon Hire Preferred **Work Experience** **Number of Years** **Work Experience Details** **Required/** **Preferred** 4-6 years A minimum of at least 5 years prior experience with both technical support and design of the electronic health record and other clinical systems Required **Knowledge Skills and Abilities** **Knowledge, Skills, Abilities** **Required/Preferred** **Proficiency** Must have proven ability to organize and lead clinical system project initiatives.
