This position will administer hospital and system work for Human Resources – example: managing licensure continuous monitoring system-wide. This position serves as a liaison and business partner for NMHS HR and the assigned community hospital, establishing relationships with the business units, ensuring alignment of objectives and effective communications between stakeholders. The Specialist-HR collaborates with hospital and NMHS leaders to implement new programs/services and resolve problems. He/she consults and works with all areas of NMHS HR to ensure consistency and alignment in its HR programs and services. **Employee Relations** * Counsels and directs leadership and staff on the interpretation of human resource policies to ensure uniformity and clear understanding. * Works with leadership on analyzing and resolving employee complaints/grievances in accordance with HR policies and procedures. * Assists in the development and implementation of best practice personnel policies and procedures **Workforce Planning/Analytics** * Work with leaders and NMHS HR on operational and data-driven demographic items. * Develop reports using data from various sources. * Interpret and explain reports containing key HR metrics e.g. turnover, engagement, time to hire, etc. **Onboarding** * Facilitates and/or provides employee orientations to workforce initiatives and programs, as needed. * Support managers to ensure hospital onboarding and orientation is provided to new hires * Work with NMHS HR to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new employees **HR Generalist** * Assists leadership with development and training of employee base. * Participates in developing department goals, objectives, processes and systems. * Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices. * Assists with program reviews and/or development. * Assists with ongoing maintenance of employee files and records retention policies and procedures related to events such as hiring, termination, leaves and transfers. * Participates in implementing communication and change management plans for system HR projects * Maintains involvement in professional human resource societies, either on a local or state level or both. * Performs other duties as assigned while demonstrating willingness, ability and team spirit. * Lead system-wide projects and participate in system-wide implementations as needed. * Coordinates employee engagement and retention activities.
