Position Purpose:

To provide a responsible position for receiving supplies and equipment. Also handles shipping all outgoing shipments from all freight carriers. This position assists in the daily issue of supplies and ticketing charge items as needed. Maintaining the receiving area and restocking shelves as required upon receipt. Cross training in other areas in order to fill in when needed. Dual position, cross trained in receiving & distribution.

Receives all supplies and equipment, documenting date and entering counts into the system. Transporting to the departments that ordered. Processes paperwork for delivery to the Accounts Payable Department. Prepares daily the outgoing shipments for pick up, entering into the system where appropriate. Assists in the request for special issues, pulling supplies and delivering or pick up. Assists distribution clerks in putting away supplies and ticketing items when time allows. Assists in the counting during semi-annual inventories. Documents shortages in shipments and damaged goods and reports to buyer for follow-up. Cross trained to assist in other positions in the department as required.
