Job Summary

Under the supervision of an Administrator, Instructional Programs, the Instructional Programs Administrative Assistant works collaboratively with and provides direct support to the administrator by assisting with the ongoing development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of assigned specialized projects, programs, and clerical tasks including, but not limited to the following : apprenticeship programs; Career Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs); customer relations; fee-based, adult programs; career pathway programs; contracted instructional programs; grants; preschool operations; student activities, field trips, and competitions; student records, database, queries, and reports; WorkAbility transition programs; and work-based learning continuum experiences
such as Community Classroom (CC) and Cooperative Vocational Education (CVE).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
The required physical requirements for the position include : hearing and speaking to exchange information and make presentations; driving a vehicle to conduct work; reaching above the shoulders; the ability to lift at least twenty-five (25) pounds; pushing and / or pulling; some climbing and balancing; stooping, crouching and kneeling; bending; walking; sitting and standing; and seeing to conduct inspection of data with visual acuity (including color, depth perception and field of vision). Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard, mouse, calculator, and / or other standard office equipment. Generally, the job requires approximately 80% sitting, 10% walking, and 10% standing. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations, a generally hazard-free environment, and in a clean atmosphere.
