Job Summary
North Orange County ROP operates four preschool programs integrated into Anaheim Union High School District classes. These programs allow high school students to engage directly with preschool students, fostering valuable insights into early childhood career paths.
Every program is overseen by a dedicated team of two staff members, comprising a Preschool Director / High School Teacher and a Preschool Teacher / High School Instructional Assistant. If either team member is unavailable, we aim to arrange for a substitute to step into the classroom, ensuring the smooth continuation of the program. This job posting is to seek candidates meeting the minimum qualifications of a Preschool Teacher and High School Substitute, who will be able to serve as a substitute for either the Preschool Director / High School Teacher or the Instructional Assistant position.
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications :
- A California Credential that allows services as a substitute teacher (i.e., Single Subject, Multiple Subjects, Designated Subjects CTE Credential, 30-day Substitute Permit, 30-day Substitute Vocational Permit, etc.); AND
OPTION 1 : A California Child Development Associate Teacher, Teacher, Master Teacher, or Site Supervisor Permit
OPTION 2 : At least 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) semester units (The 12 ECE units must include the following core courses : CHILD / HUMAN GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT; CHILD, FAMILY, AND COMMUNITY; PROGRAM / CURRICULUM, per Title 22 Regulations); AND

PHYSICAL DEMANDS : Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate standard classroom equipment. Sitting or standing for extended periods. Bending at the waist, kneeling, or crouching to assist students. Seeing to read a variety of materials and monitor student activities. Hearing and speaking to exchange information. Lifting and carrying children as assigned by the position.
