About the Role:
As a Front Desk Agent at Ashland Springs Hotel, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive guest experience. Your main responsibility will be to greet and assist guests upon their arrival, check them in and out, and provide information about hotel amenities and local attractions. You will also handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints, and strive to resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing reservations, coordinating with other hotel departments, and maintaining a clean and organized front desk area.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with guests and colleagues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in computer systems and software, including reservation and front desk management systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in hospitality management or a related field.
- Previous experience as a Front Desk Agent or in a similar role in a luxury or upscale hotel.
- Knowledge of local attractions, restaurants, and entertainment venues to provide personalized recommendations to guests.
- Fluency in multiple languages, particularly Spanish or French, to better assist international guests.
- Certification in customer service or hospitality training programs.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner upon their arrival at the hotel.
- Check guests in and out, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately and efficiently.
- Provide information to guests about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions, and assist with making reservations or arrangements as needed.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints, and escalate any issues to the appropriate department or manager for resolution.
- Manage and update room reservations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the booking process.
