Description:
GENERAL DESCRIPTION (PURPOSE)
Reach and Equip Children birth through Pre-K to be lifelong followers of Jesus Christ.
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (Evaluation criteria based on these responsibilities listed on review forms)
WEEKEND SERVICE LEADERSHIP ~20%
- Attend 7:30 am staff meeting
- Prep Kids Building for services
- Attend 9 am worship service and run 10:30 preschool service
- Additional weekend tasks as needed
VOLUNTEER CARE ~30%
- Organize and send out Planning Center invites for Sunday services
- Administrative volunteer tasks include onboarding procedures (background checks, Ministry Safe training, data input)
- Intentional shepherding of volunteers includes taking them to coffee or lunch, volunteer appreciation gifts, etc.
CURRICULUM PREP ~40%
- Prepare and implement curriculum selected by ministry leader
- Order needed supplies
- Setup classrooms during the week with curriculum and snacks
- Clean up classrooms from the week prior and put away unused curriculum supplies
MIDWEEK CHILDCARE ~10%
- Schedule childcare leaders for midweek groups (women’s Bible study, MOPS, anything additional as needed)
- Setup a craft or activity for the children to complete
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION (SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, & EDUCATION)
- Committed Christian and member of NPHX Church.
- At least 6 months experience working in Preschool Ministry.
- Must possess strong communication and computer skills.
- Should be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize workflow.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Knowledgeable in Child Development.
- Ability to effectively manage conflict or other tense/sensitive situations.
