What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rehabilitation Technician position at North Platte Physical Therapy?
Physical Therapist Aides / Techs work under the direction and supervision of Physical Therapists and/or Physical Therapist Assistants. They help patients who are recovering from injuries and illnesses regain movement and manage pain. Physical Therapy Aides often do tasks that are indirectly related to patient care such as cleaning and setting up the treatment area, transferring patients, and performing clerical duties. Aides are also responsible for observing patients before, during, and after therapy, noting their status and reporting to a Physical Therapist. They may help patients do specific exercises as part of the plan of care, use a variety of techniques to treat patients, and use devices and equipment to help patients. Setting up therapy equipment and performing clerical tasks, such as answering phones and scheduling patients. Under the direction and supervision of Physical Therapists, they may give therapy through exercise, massage, gait and balance training, and therapeutic modalities, such as electrical stimulation and ultrasound. Candidates should possess the ability to multitask while working with multiple patients in this fast paced clinic! Having good communication skills with coworkers and patients is a must!
