What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Tree Crew position at North Platte Valley Conservation District?
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Crew Member to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for conservation and working outside. The season typically starts April 1- May 31st.
Duties
- Assist our Programs Coordinator with The Conservation Windbreak/Treerow Planting Program.
- Loading equipment and supplies, and duties assigned by the Programs Coordinator to prepare for daily planting. Supplies include heavy rolls of weed barrier, drip line, trees, stays, and other assorted items needed for planting daily.
- Work may include heavy lifting, a lot of crouching then moving to a standing position, and long hours of standing or walking.
- Daily planting routine includes planting trees, laying weed barrier, installing drip line (line and emitters), placing stays through barrier, and installing hardware to water source.
- Collaborate with team members to execute planting designs and maintenance plans.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working with equipment.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition to ensure optimal performance.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
