Electrician Job Description

Need residential & commercial experience.The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, commitment to safety, and excellent problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

-Be self sufficient and order basic material you need for jobs (paid for by company obviously)

    •    Install electrical wiring, equipment, devices and fixtures

    •    Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and specifications

    •    Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards and ensure code compliance

    •    Troubleshoot malfunctioning systems using testing devices

    •    Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring and equipment

    •    Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components

    •    Test electrical systems to ensure proper functioning

    •    Follow National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building regulations

    •    Collaborate with construction teams, engineers, and other trades

Qualifications

     - 7 Years Experience 

    •    Completion of an approved electrician apprenticeship program

    •    Knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations

    •    Proficiency with electrical tools and testing equipment

    •    Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

    •    Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces

    •    Valid driver's license

Physical Requirements

    •    Ability to lift up to 100 lbs

    •    Comfort working in various positions (standing, kneeling, reaching)

    •    Visual acuity to distinguish wire colors and read small print

Work Environment

    •    Indoor and outdoor work in various weather conditions

    •    May include weekend hours

    •    Travel to different job sites required
