DevOps Software Engineer (TS/SCI Clearance Required)

North Point Technology is seeking an experienced TS/SCI Cleared DevOps Software Engineer to support our program which specializes in the areas of critical intelligence and geospatial data management. Our program builds software for the next generation of geospatial intelligence. The role supports the Pipeline and Platform team to develop, maintain and enhance our release train environments, combining an understanding of both engineering and coding. From creating and implementing systems software to analyzing data to improve existing ones, the DevOps Engineer increases productivity in the workplace. The role understand the software development lifecycle and have a clear understanding of various automation tools for developing digital pipelines (CI/ CD pipelines).

Applicants should be self-motivated, curious problem solvers with experience with the following tools, processes and technologies:

Required Skills:

• Demonstrated experience in DevSecOps processes and tools
• Demonstrated knowledge of continuous integration / continuous deployment methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate across multiple functional disciplines, multiple contractors, and multiple locations
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at a professional level
  
  

Preferred Skills:

• Demonstrated experience in Linux (VM security hardening, ports and protocols, crons, ssl)
• Demonstrated experience in Puppet scripting (Ruby)
• Demonstrated experience in Shell scripting
• Demonstrated experience with GitLab, Jenkins, Containers, Apache, Tomcat
• Willing to travel if needed.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Active Top-Secret SCI clearance
• Candidate must have BS degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience.
