Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for animal care and welfare, along with the technical skills necessary to assist veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care to a variety of animals. This role requires a blend of clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
- Perform routine laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
- Monitor animal patients pre- and post-operatively.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
- Provide proper animal restraint techniques during examinations and procedures.
- Educate pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including sterilization of instruments using aseptic techniques.
- Handle various species including dogs, cats, and pocket pets as needed.

Experience
Candidates should have experience or knowledge in the following areas:
- Animal handling skills with a focus on safety and comfort for both the animal and staff.
- Understanding of animal anatomy and veterinary terminology.
- Familiarity with veterinary practices including kennel management and animal restraint techniques.
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome enthusiastic candidates eager to learn.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
