Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Assist the School Principal with all day-to-day school operations including the supervision of all assigned staff, students, visitors, agency staff, etc.
  2. Assist the School Principal with evaluating all assigned staff.
  3. Assist the School Principal with managing the teacher/staff hiring process.
  4. Assist the School Principal with establishing and maintaining a positive school climate.
  5. Assist the School Principal with supervising instruction and assessments aligned to state and national standards.
  6. Assist the School Principal with the revision of curricula as necessary.
  7. Assist the School Principal with monitoring student progress by frequently analyzing assessment data.
  8. Assist the School Principal with facilitating school improvement planning.
  9. Assist the School Principal with the adherence of state and federal program regulations.
  10. Assist the School Principal with implementing a school-wide positive behavior program.
  11. Assist the School Principal with coordinating and supervising safety procedures and practices.
  12. Assist the School Principal with implementing a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) to provide targeted interventions based on individual student need.
  13. Plan and coordinate professional development opportunities for faculty and staff as necessary or requested by the School Principal.
  14. Attend professional development opportunities and keep abreast of current instruction and assessment practices.
  15. Prepare reports and presentations for administration, school committee, and stakeholders as required.
  16. Establish and maintain strong relationships with parents, providing regular communication and support.
  17. Foster partnerships and communicate effectively with community organizations, agencies, and stakeholders to enhance program resources and services.
  18. Responsible for counseling and disciplining students as necessary.
  19. Collaborate with families to provide comprehensive support across educational, behavioral, and social emotional domains.
  20. Attend and supervise students at school and community functions.
  21. Attend required administrative meetings during and after standard working hours.
  22. Assume other generally related responsibilities as may be assigned by the School Principal, Superintendent of Schools, Assistant Superintendent and/or their designee.

Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision and distance vision. The employee is frequently required to use hands, handle, or feel. The employee must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, lifting, and/or moving objects up to 25 lbs and occasionally, items over 25 lbs. The position requires the employee to work irregular or extended hours, direct responsibility for the safety, well-being, and work output of other people, and to meet multiple demands with time constraints. The noise level in this environment may be loud, depending upon the activity in the particular part of the day and location. Terms of Employment:
  1. 200 days
  2. Contracted position (Non-bargaining unit)
Evaluation: Job performance will be evaluated by the Principal using the RIDE Administrator’s Evaluation Model.

Salary : $106,000 - $110,000
