What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Custodian / $18 per hour position at North Providence Public Schools?
North Providence Public Schools is seeking to hire Substitute Custodians.
Day and evening shifts are available.
1.Assumes responsibility for the appearances and function of assigned building and grounds.
2.Completes daily cleaning and monitors upkeep of all areas, including, but not limited to, hallways, offices, classrooms, restrooms, etc.
3.Empties, cleans and relines all wastebaskets throughout building.
4.Replace lightbulbs as needed.
5.Replace soap, paper towels, toilet paper, etc., as needed.
6.Sweeps, scrubs, waxes and burnishes floors as needed.
7.Assists in locking and securing building.
8.Assist school personnel as requested.
9.Routinely inspects all areas for possible safety hazards and addresses them appropriately.
10.Snow removal and apply salt to slippery surfaces as needed.
11.Monitor custodial supplies (inventory/orders).
12.Additional duties assigned by Building Principal and/or Facilities Manager.
