Position:
Non-CDL Old National Trail (ONT) Bus Driver
Monday through Friday/6:15 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. & 1:15 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. (Times may vary)

Job Description:
The ONT route uses a small white activity bus. This route will be picking up students in our district and taking them to other schools in the county. We have a tablet that will give you step by step instructions on how to complete the route. A CDL is NOT required to drive this route.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Driver must be willing to obtain a Pre-Service Class (yellow card) Certification
- Must have a clean driving record
- Satisfactory pre-employment background check
- Pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
Preferred:
- The possibility to take on more non-CDL routes throughout the day: this could be picking up a single student, driving the pre-school route, or even driving an ECA (Extra Curricular Activity)
Responsibilities:
- Know and adhere to the safety rules found in the North Putnam Community School Corporation’s bus driver handbook
- Enforcing the rules of the bus to ensure safety, while driving
- Have excellent attendance
- Keep the bus clean inside and out
- Run a pre-determined route in a timely manner
- Perform daily inspections on a tablet for the bus
- Check for students and belongings on the bus once the route is complete
