North Ranch Country Club is a private club in Westlake Village known for exceptional service and a warm, family-friendly environment. We’re looking for an energetic and caring Kids Club Attendant to help create a fun, safe space for our youngest members while their parents enjoy the club. Shifts
Fridays: 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Saturdays: 8:30 am - 12:30 pm
Sundays (Occasional): 8:30 am - 12:30 pm
Reports To: Assistant General Manager
Job Summary (Essential Functions)
The Kids Club Attendant is responsible for providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children ages 3-10 while their parents utilize the club’s amenities. This role includes supervising children, leading activities, and ensuring a positive experience that aligns with the club’s service standards.
Job Tasks/Duties:
- Supervise and actively engage with children in a safe and welcoming environment.
- Follow check-in and check-out procedures, verifying authorized guardians.
- Plan and facilitate age-appropriate games, crafts, and activities.
- Monitor children’s behavior and interactions, ensuring a positive and inclusive atmosphere. Address any behavioral concerns or safety issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure all children’s allergies and special needs are noted and communicated appropriately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Kids Club area, including setup and breakdown of the space.
- Follow all safety and emergency procedures, responding appropriately to any incidents.
- Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on their children as needed.
- Ensure all club policies and guidelines are upheld, including:
- Monitoring the number of children in the club to ensure capacity limits.
- Confirming all children are potty-trained; staff will not assist with diaper changes.
- Confirming that parents/guardians remain on NRCC property and provide their location.
- Preventing participation of children who are sick or recently showed signs of illness.
- Prohibiting the dispensing of medication, including EpiPens or allergy treatments.
- Allowing only comfort toys (e.g., blankets, stuffed animals) and preventing small choking hazards.
- Enforcing the club’s no outside food or beverage policy unless special permission is granted.
- Maintaining a calm and respectful environment, prohibiting running, yelling, or disruptive behavior.
- Following the club’s crying policy: comforting an upset child for up to 10 minutes before contacting the parent/guardian if necessary.
- Conduct other appropriate tasks assigned by the Assistant General Manager.

- Excellent customer service skills and an open, courteous, and friendly personality are required.

- Knowledge and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.
This position may qualify for incentive-based compensation in alignment with club policies.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
- High School diploma or GED or higher.
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare, recreation, or educational setting preferred.
Licenses and Special Requirements:
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, stand, and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Setting may be noisy and cluttered at times.
