What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher-English Long-Term Substitute position at North Reading High School?
North Reading High School is seeking an English Teacher to serve as a long-term substitute from March 17, 2025 to the end of the 2024-2025 school year (June 26, 2025 with snow days). Essential duties
- Unit/lesson planning with an emphasis on sophomore English classes
- Direct instruction of students
- Assessment of student learning
- Be available to conference with parents and families as needed or requested
- Work closely with our team of teachers in the English Department to ensure pacing and learning expectations are maintained
- Other duties as requested by the Building Principal
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education teaching license in English, grades 5-12
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Collaborative working demeanor
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required
