Teacher-English Long-Term Substitute

North Reading High School is seeking an English Teacher to serve as a long-term substitute from March 17, 2025 to the end of the 2024-2025 school year (June 26, 2025 with snow days). Essential duties 

• Unit/lesson planning with an emphasis on sophomore English classes
• Direct instruction of students
• Assessment of student learning
• Be available to conference with parents and families as needed or requested
• Work closely with our team of teachers in the English Department to ensure pacing and learning expectations are maintained
• Other duties as requested by the Building Principal 

 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education teaching license in English, grades 5-12
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Collaborative working demeanor
• Excellent oral and written communication skills 
• At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required
