Teacher-World Languages [French & Spanish] Long-Term Substitute

North Reading High School is seeking a long-term substitute World Languages Teacher from now through June 20, 2025 (current anticipated end of the 2024-2025 school year). North Reading Public Schools is actively looking to build a diverse workforce to ensure all students feel welcome, safe, and valued for who they are and supported to reach their potential.

This position is a 0.8 FTE position working a reduced school day Monday through Friday. This position teaches both French and Spanish classes.

Essential duties 

• Unit/lesson planning
• Direct instruction of students
• Assessment of student learning
• Be available to conference with parents and families as needed or requested
• Work closely with the World Languages educators team to ensure pacing and learning expectations are maintained
• Other duties as requested by the Building Principal 

 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education teaching license in World Language [French], grades 5-12
• Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education teaching license in World Language [Spanish], grades 5-12 
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Collaborative working demeanor
• Excellent oral and written communication skills 
• At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required
