What are the responsibilities and job description for the Speech and Language Pathologist Long-Term Substitute position at North Reading School District?
North Reading Public Schools is seeking a Speech and Language Pathologist Long-Term Substitute from May 28, 2025 through June 20, 205 (the anticipated last day of the 2024-2025 school year) This position primarily works with students at the E. Ethel Little Elementary School. In this role, you will provide speech therapy services for students in the district’s integrated PreK program.
There may be the opportunity to continue in this temporary assignment at the beginning of school year 2025-2026.

Essential duties
- Provide speech therapy services for elementary students in PreK
- Collaborate with school psychologist, teachers, and parents/guardians to implement services as required by IEP’s and 504 Plans
- Provide comprehensive assessments and reports as necessary
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Services, Building Principal, or Designee
Requirements
- Master's Degree in a related field preferred
- Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license in Academic: Specialist Teacher-Speech Language and Hearing Disorders
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Collaborative working demeanor
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- At least three (3) years of relevant experience preferred
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required
