A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A Human Resource Coordinator
Responsible for the Human Resource functions and support of the HR department
- Provide Administrative support to employees
- Check the status of Background studies through DHS
- Responsible for meeting with all new employees after functional assessments to complete employment paperwork, answer questions, and create badges for new employees
- Hold/attend job fairs when necessary
- Distribute completed new hire employment forms to other departments.
- Notifies the IT department of new recruits/transfers.
- Supporting daily HR operations
- Monitors and maintains compliance with employee eligibility to work in the United States (I-9's).
- Communicate in a timely manner with the Education Department about new hires attending Mini Orientation and/or General Orientation. Distribute new employee badges.
- Scanning of new employees or rescanning of employees into our time clock system
- Checks State of Minnesota RN, LPN, and NAR registry.
- Verifies NAR training receipts and payroll.
- Submits application/receipts for Tuition Reimbursement.
- Provides 90-day review list to Managers
- Assists with yearly employee reviews
- Services as a point person for all employee questions.
- Completes employment references as requested by Human Resources staff. Support North Ridge/Mission Health social media content as requested.
- Responsible for all files and records pertinent to employees and the Human Resources Department.
- Responsible for processing terminated employee files and removing them from Relias/PCC system.
- Assist employees with FMLA
- Reviews and submits worker comp claims to engage
- Assists with filing and organizing employee documentation
- Prepares files and documentation on new employees
- Enters new employee information, licenses, and personal information changes into the HRIS system.
- Provides employment verification on current and past employees.
- Set up Fingerprinting and Background studies through DHS.
- Record Employee Disciplinary Record in Engage.
- Completes Semi-Annual NAR report for Minnesota Department of Health
- Answers main phone line and directs calls appropriately.
- Greets and assists all employees and applicants that come into the department.
- Responsible for adequate supply and inventory of personnel forms.
- Send correspondence to employees in regard to miscellaneous employment letters, etc. as directed.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
JOB SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
- High School graduate, prefer post-secondary education in the area of records management.
- Prefer 2 years of Human Resources experience.
- Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with people under all conditions.
- Must have excellent organizational and computer skills.
- Must have working knowledge of MS Office.
- Must be able to work under pressure and prioritize work load.
- Must be able to multi-task.
- Must be able to perform physical job demands of position.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
