AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE TEACHER AT THE HIGH SCHOOL
Qualifications : College or university degree(s)
Valid Ohio teaching certificate / license to teach American Sign Language
Follows the Board policy and administrative procedures.
Ensures the safety of students in accordance with Board of Education policy.
Demonstrates professional growth through proper maintenance of certificates.
Maintains records of student performance, and reports student progress to parents and / or legal guardians.
Diagnoses the learning needs of all students on a regular basis and gears intervention to address their identified needs.
Uses instructional techniques, available material, and media consistent with the needs and capabilities of the students involved.
Teaches a variety of levels in American Sign Language.
Native or near-native fluency in ASL
Understanding of ASL grammar and structure
