Duties
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and overall health during procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
- Educate pet owners on proper pet care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment by adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Provide support in dental cleanings and procedures, utilizing knowledge of dental terminology.
- Assist with animal handling during examinations, ensuring comfort and safety for both pets and staff.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current with veterinary practices and advancements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Veterinary Technician or similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, veterinary terminology, and pet care practices.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and dental procedures is highly desirable.
- Excellent animal handling skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with pet owners and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
