Maintenance Assistant - Full-Time 1st Shift

We are looking for someone to help maintain our beautiful modern facility with 100 beds in our Long-Term care and rehab setting. You would be responsible for assisting with repairs around the facility.

Tasks may include:

• Drywall repair
• Painting
• Changing lightbulbs
• TV and Internet assistance
• Cleaning and replacing filters in PTAC units
• Maintaining PTAC units
• Assisting other departments with routine cleaning tasks
• Assist and Participate in Fire Drills and scheduled Emergency Drills
• Assist with transporting residents to appointments
• Other tasks as assigned by the Direct or Maintenance

Summary of position

Responsible for assisting the Director of Maintenance in the repair, upkeep and maintenance of the inside and outside of the center. Responsible for gardening, lawn care, painting, plastering, minor equipment repair and snow removal as requested, etc.

Requirements of the position

Required Education And Experience

• High School diploma (or equivalent)
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft products
  
  
  

Preferred Education And Experience

• Experience with HVAC, plumbing or general maintenance
• Experience in a fast-paced environment
• Post-acute care or health care experience preferred
