STATEMENT OF PURPOSE : The Administrative House Supervisor provides clinical and administrative support to all nursing personnel and assumes overall responsibility for the operation of all departments, in the absence of department heads and hospital administration. The House Supervisor maintains the standards of nursing care, and supports the professional growth of those employees and students utilizing the clinical facilities of North Shore Medical Center.
Position Summary :
The Administrative / House Supervisor will function as the administrative
liaison during the evening, night, and weekend hours. They ensure patient flow and coordinate
census with adequate levels of staffing. They provide nursing expertise in the management of
patient care, supervising staff, clinical guidance and interpreting and implementing established
Required Education / Licensing :
BSN preferred, RN license in the state of Florida, CNNA certification desirable
EXPERIENCE :
Miscellaneous
Knowledge of and ability to apply management skills. Displays problem solving skills to reach effective
outcomes. Communicates effectively, concisely, and accurately verbally and written; listens receptively
Identifies potential leadership among nursing staff. Assists staff to grow personally and professionally
through sharing of information and counseling. Plans, organizes, supervises and controls
administrative and patient care activities of assigned units. Evaluation and prioritization for utilization
Human Resources.
