Responsibilities
- Performs daily equipment inspection attachments, record or log and notify Operations lead, coordinator, or supervisor if there are any problems and/or issues with the equipment
- Coordinates with the Machine Operator / Supervisors on all work orders in production
- Confirms sure daily coil list is available and updated
- Communicates and transfers material needed for orders
- Performs the staging and inspection of all materials before processing
- Reports damaged or non-conforming products to quality rep
- Update locations and scale weigh products
- Completes all daily tasks given and communicates if not completed
- Empties scrap hoppers daily and records weight on scrap log
- Assists shipping and receiving operations when needed
- Assists in the operation of machine in the absence of the primary machine operator
- Identifies process deficiencies and reports to management
- Assists in other areas of the operation as requested
- 2 years of related experience
- Familiar with safe work practices, and procedures
- Knowledge of crane capacities, accessory equipment and rigging
- Ability to move large sized and unusually shaped steel plates in a safe manner
- Ability to calculate weights of material
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to traverse the distribution warehouse and access a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, and reaching.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse and on the loading dock.
