Job Summary:
The grapple/boom truck opperator is an essential field employee. This position is essential to the production of our field crews. You will work in team setting and report directly to the job foreman or project coordinator. Safety is paramount at NST, therefore all grapple/boom truck operators will be trained in the rules and regulations required to promote our safety cultrue. Every employee at NST is expected to adhere to these requirements each and every day.
Essential Functions:
- Report to job foreman or field supervisor and receive daily instructions.
- Work in a team evironment to accomplish daily tasks.
- Deliver material and equipment to jobsites.
- Keep proper DOT logs and service records.
- Perform routine service to your truck.
- Work on multiple projects often at multiple locations throughout the work day.
- Complete all necessary daily paperwork and submit in timely manner.
- Flexibility in personal schedule is a must to accommodate occasional travel.
Qualifications:
- Ability to adhere to all safety related rules and regulations.
- Ability to perform continuous physical tasks for long periods of time.
- Familiarity with hand tools and proper use.
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record required, class A or B CDL required.
- Pervious construction experience and/or training preferred.
- Strong desire to be apart of a team operating in a fast-paced, result-oriented culture.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and E-Railsafe background check.
- Participate in CN On Track Safety training and annual refresher. (Provided)
- Complete MSHA Part 48New Miner Training and annual refresher training. (Provided)
