Position Summary
North Side Community School is seeking a long term substitute teacher for a 4th Grade Science Classroom. If you are a certified classroom teacher with a passion for children of all ages, experience creating a positive and highly engaging classroom environment, and have a talent for applying strong instructional and classroom management strategies maintaining a structured classroom where instruction and practice take place, WE WANT TO MEET YOU!
Essential Functions
- Our long term substitute teacher ensures a productive day of learning in a positive, nurturing, warm, welcoming classroom.
- Our long term substitute teacher employs engaging, differentiated instruction to teach skills.
- Our long term substitute teacher creates a positive behavior plan to set routines and procedures enhancing engagement in learning activities. Maintaining order in a firm yet nurturing and positive environment is a must.
- Our long term substitute participates as an active member of the community building strong relationships with families.

Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree (B.A)
Certification: Minimum Missouri state teaching certificate (or eligible to receive)
