Heavy Equipment Operator Job Description
Summary
We are seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will operate various equipment, such as drill machines, backhoes, and skid-steer loaders, in a safe and effective manner for underground construction or utilities projects.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate drill equipment on job sites, including directional drills, backhoes, skid-steers, tractor trailers, and vacuum trucks.
- Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment from trucks.
- Participate in new site Job Safety Analysis (JSA) prior to starting construction.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Hold a valid standard driver's license or Class A Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement.
- Pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test, background check, and attain a DOT Medical Certificate.
- Have previous experience with drilling equipment and understand its capabilities and limitations.
