Summary or Purpose
To assist in the collection and processing of data on real and personal property for assessment purposes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provides research, information and customer service support to the public.
Maintains manual and computerized assessment and land ownership records.
Works with various members of the public in preparing and processing exemption applications.
Processes exemption applications.
Performs clerical filing functions, typing of general correspondence and memoranda.
Processes invoices for payment.
Applies various tables, factors, and established standards to assist assessing staff in property evaluation.
Calculates depreciation, square footage, simple descriptive statistics, and other measurements as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of Borough policies and procedures
Knowledge of the principles of record keeping and records management.
Knowledge of computer hardware and assessment software applications.
Skilled in customer service.
Skilled in data entry.
Education, Experience, Certifications and Licenses Required
High School graduate or G.E.D/or, a combination of 12 years of education and work related experience.
Three years clerical work experience.
Valid Alaska Driver’s License that meets North Slope Borough insurance criteria.
