Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop content for social media accounts for MCSC and PEO LS, serving as the subject matter expert on social media strategy, trends, and visuals
- Develop and maintain a social media content calendar, providing it to the Government lead weekly for approval. The calendar should reflect content for the following two weeks at minimum, aligning with the OPAC Social Media Strategy, command mission, and industry best practices
- Develop and execute impactful social media campaigns as directed by the government, leveraging expertise to create compelling content that aligns with the command's mission and initiatives
- Maintain and update the command's presence on various social media platforms, ensuring frequent updates that are fresh, relevant, and aligned with strategic goals. Disseminate approved content across social media platforms consistently and professionally
- Develop graphics and short-form video products to support social media content, utilizing appropriate branding guidance and industry best practices
- Conduct ongoing monitoring of social media platforms to track comments, direct messages, and other opportunities for audience engagement. Propose engagement opportunities and responses to the Government lead for approval
- Provide on-site social media support at command events, including in-the-moment content (e.g., Stories, Reels) and providing day-of longer-form posts within hours of the event
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis on social media efforts, supporting the quarterly and annual metrics report, evaluating successful campaigns, and providing ad-hoc reports for individual posts, events, or efforts within specified timeframes
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in social media management and content creation
- Strong understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) and their best practices
- Proven ability to create engaging and high-quality social media content
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and video editing software (preferred)
- Experience with social media analytics and reporting tools
