This role involves supervising contractor personnel, managing equipment and facility maintenance schedules, ensuring compliance with environmental programs, and coordinating with military and government civilians to support the training mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise contractor personnel involved in logistics support operations.
- Manage equipment and facility maintenance schedules, ensuring timely repairs and upkeep.
- Coordinate with Air Force Civil Engineering Corps and other agencies to align operations within the Environmental Management System (EMS) framework.
- Assist in supervising environmental quality program compliance and budgeting processes, focusing on compliance, conservation, and pollution prevention.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Air Force Base Comprehensive Asset Management Plan (BCAMP) system to support strategic basing processes.
- Establish logistics support procedures, including receipt, inventory maintenance, issuance, and accountability of consumables, gear, equipment, and deployment of GSA fleet vehicles.
- Develop and maintain historical records and files for turnover upon relief, including final reports and documented processes for future use.
- Attend meetings as required or requested by the Commanding Officer (CO) of NTTC Lackland.
- Provide staff support for facilities projects, maintenance, and warranty administration.
- Coordinate facilities-related projects and transportation requirements with AF Civil Engineering, NAVFAC, and prospective vendors.
- Manage and coordinate facility trouble calls, repairs, maintenance, and self-help projects.
- Communicate and coordinate transportation requirements and services with CENSECFOR Headquarters (N4) and regional providers.
- Track the status of all Government vehicles at NTTC Lackland, ensuring regular maintenance and availability.
- Schedule and oversee vehicle preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
- Ensure pre-check and post-check of vehicles are conducted upon every use.
- Maintain vehicle gas cards and ensure all drivers are qualified and licensed.
- Generate usage and maintenance reports to assist the NTTC DOT and CO in maintaining awareness of the status of all Government vehicles.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in logistics and/or facilities management; or a minimum of six (6) years’ experience in logistics or facilities management, preferably in a Navy or Marine Corps environment.
- At least two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory role in logistics and/or facilities management.
- Analytical capability to identify and research various directives, regulations, and policies to determine solutions to problems, issues, and concerns.
- Experience with Air Force Civil Engineering Corps operations and understanding of EMS framework.
- Familiarity with the Air Force Base Comprehensive Asset Management Plan (BCAMP) system.
- Knowledge of environmental quality program compliance and budgeting processes.
- Proficiency in managing GSA fleet vehicles and related logistics support procedures.
- Possess a valid state driver’s license.
- Current active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
