Position: Homeless Shelter Tutor for Elementary-High School Students (Multiple Vacancies)
Location: Harriet Tubman Center East and Catholic Charities' Family Service Center (hours vary)
School Year: 2024-2025 School Year
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: $31.61/hour

POSITION SUMMARY
After school tutoring services are needed for Pre-K to high school age students who are currently residing in homeless shelters. Tutors will provide homework help and additional lessons that reinforce school curriculum and key grade-level skills. Services will continue for the 2024-2025 school year, with the potential to continue over the summer and during the 2025-2026 school year.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor's degree;
2. Excellent communication skills;
3. Ability to work with all ages;
4. Be confident working with assignments in a variety of subject areas and at various skill levels;
5. Serve as a role model and mentor;
6. Be comfortable working with diverse populations;
7. Be flexible and take initiative;
8. Is able to be creative in creating curriculum when needed.

DESIRED:
MN Teaching License
Experience working with homeless children and youth
