Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Engage and Inspire: Provide dynamic group and individualized instruction in communication, social skills, daily living activities, social/emotional development, and pre-vocational skills.
- Supported Employment: Help individuals secure and maintain competitive employment through a person-centered approach. Assist them in exploring job opportunities that match their talents and passions, aiming to find not just a job, but a career they love.
- Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS): Prepare students aged 14 to 21 with disabilities for employment post-high school. Provide services such as Job Exploration Counseling, Work-Based Learning, Counseling on Post-Secondary Education Programs, Workplace Readiness Training, and Instruction in Self-Advocacy.
- Adult Day Training (ADT): Maximize each person's independence based on their life goals. Foster a lifelong love of learning and creativity through diverse activities, from music to wellness and personal care.
- Community Access: Help individuals find valued places in their communities. Facilitate connections with friends, clubs, and groups that welcome and appreciate them.
- Safety and Care: Ensure the safety, care, and supervision of our participants.
- Collaborate: Work closely with case managers and support agencies to deliver person-centered services.
- Goal-Oriented: Help participants achieve their individual goals and implement behavior plans.
- Advocate: Protect participant rights, maintain confidentiality, and report any suspected violations or abuse.
- Document: Keep accurate records of services provided and complete incident reports as needed.
- Comply: Ensure compliance with Medicaid regulations and company policies.
- Communicate: Maintain strong relationships with participants, families, and staff, and stay calm in stressful situations.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of required training (including first aid and CPR certification).
- Ability to read, understand, and implement instructions.
- Must pass a criminal background check and pre-employment/random drug testing.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record and proof of auto insurance.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, sit, reach overhead, and lift 50 pounds or more.
- Meet health requirements for infectious diseases.
- Reasonable accommodations can be requested to perform essential job functions.
