Role:
Provide member focused service.
To assist members with their financial transactions, involving paying and receiving cash and other negotiable
instruments.
Provide account information, as well as information on the full range of credit union products and services.
Professionally handle the member's daily needs.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
E 21% Greet and welcome members to NSCCU in a courteous, professional and timely manner.
Represent the credit union to members in a courteous and professional manner and provide
prompt, efficient and accurate service in the processing of transactions. Directs member to
appropriate department for specific information and service.
E 19% Receives and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals and loan
payments; transfers amounts from member accounts as directed and maintain member records
according to NSCCU Policy and Procedures.
E 15% Train on and develop knowledge of credit union products and services, including robbery
procedures.
E 15% Balances cash drawer and daily transactions. Research and reports discrepancies to the
supervisor.
E 10% Provide in-person and by-telephone general service-related information concerning credit union
products and policies. Respond to email or other electronic requests submitted by members.
E 5% Cross-sells Credit Union services.
E 5% Performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks including answering the telephone, scanning, filing,
and computer input.
E 5% Basic account research.
N 5% Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Performance Measurements:
1. Consistently follows The North Star Way Service Competencies and Service Standards.
2. Provide friendly, professional, personal service to all customers and associates.
3. Balance your drawer daily, being no more than $1 off and with total offages not to exceed $100 in a 12
month period.
4. Accurately post transactions.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve customer and internal inquiries in a timely, friendly and accurate manner.
6. Proactively seek opportunities to identify appropriate products and services for the betterment of the
customer.
7. Maintain a professional work environment and businesslike appearance.
8. Actively participate in Community and Credit Union Industry activities and events.
9. Minimal unplanned absences and tardiness.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: One month to twelve months of similar or related experience.
Education: A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills: Work involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates regarding routine matters or the purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.
Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors), requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.
Other Skills: Ten key calculator and computer keyboard by touch. Must be good with detail to deal with numbers and names.
