What you will have responsibility for
Primary responsibility will be to submit claims to the funder of services and generate an invoice(s) for the designated payer of services
Reconcile remittances with billings and follow up on any discrepancies. Follow up on corrected claims
Post billing transactions in designated accounting software.
Responsible for taking deposits to the bank and recording Accounts Receivable transactions in designated accounting software.
Print payable checks and secure appropriate signatures.
Follow up on outstanding checks from the General Bank account.
Prepares data as requested (ex. cost report, outcomes report, bad debt, unclaimed funds, etc)
Maintain privacy of confidential records, correspondence, and/or files
Ensures familiarity with regulatory guidelines to support accurate rates, and accurate billing codes
Communicate effectively in writing, orally, and with others to understand and convey information
What Background do you need?
Post-high school education or technical training in Clerical, Accounting or Administrative field and at least 1 year of experience performing similar duties
Proficiency and experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Office 365
Meet requirements for background checks including criminal records and abuse registry
Valid driver's license, ability to be covered by agency insurance, and willingness to drive company vehicles.
