Lab Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Laboratory Manager to oversee our quality & laboratory operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in laboratory management and molecular chemistry, with familiarity with metals & chemicals. This role requires exceptional supervisory skills and the ability to analyze data effectively while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

*Assist Plant Manager with daily operations and managing staff

· Clean and organize lab.

· Understand the basic operation of laboratory equipment, including maintaining and cleaning the equipment.

· Perform testing metals on ICP and test samples for FFA, moisture, and insoluble impurities.

· Sample gathering, preparation, testing, and data acquisition.

· Establish and execute SOPs and build supplier quality profiles.

· Build and maintain a database of lab results.

· Collect, prepare and send samples to outside labs to ensure accuracy of internal testing.

· Work with operations to improve processing efficiency of plant operations.

· Maintain laboratory inventory, equipment lists, and chemicals/reagents.

· Maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary work area as well as maintain and clean laboratory equipment.

· Order supplies and maintain proper lab functions.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

· Thorough understanding of the company’s policies, procedures, systems, and objectives.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

· Four-year degree in Chemistry or related field.

· 2 years of experience is preferred.

· Experienced in Microsoft Excel and database software management. Coding skills preferred, but not required.

· Familiarity with metals and chemicals and comfortable working with them.

· Ability to work independently to fulfill the needs of plant operations and maintain the lab.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
