We are seeking an experienced Technical Automation Architect with strong expertise in test automation, web services testing, and framework development.
This role requires hands-on technical skills, deep knowledge of REST services, and proficiency in Java coding to drive innovation and efficiency in our QA and testing practices.
Key Responsibilities :
Automation Framework Development :
Design and build scalable, reusable, and robust test automation frameworks from scratch to support testing of complex applications.
Develop and maintain tools, libraries, and utilities for automation.
Web Services Testing :
Perform hands-on testing of RESTful web services with a focus on reliability, performance, and accuracy.
Develop automated test scripts for web services and APIs.
End-to-End Automation Management :
Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of automation projects, including :
o Requirement gathering from stakeholders.
o Test scripting and execution.
o Onboarding automation frameworks to continuous integration (CI) tools.
o Defect management and reporting.
o Calculating and reporting ROI for automation initiatives.
Test Harness Development :
Design and implement custom test harnesses to ensure proper test coverage for complex systems.
Continuous Integration and Delivery :
Integrate test automation frameworks with CI / CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo, GitLab CI) to enable continuous testing.
Ensure automated tests are executed as part of the deployment pipeline.
Technical Leadership and Mentorship :
Provide technical leadership to the QA and development teams to ensure best practices in test automation.
Mentor and guide junior team members in automation techniques and frameworks.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Communication :
Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to understand requirements and deliver quality solutions.
Communicate technical solutions, challenges, and results to stakeholders effectively.
Qualifications and Skills :
Mandatory Skills :
3 4 years of experience testing RESTful services.
Proficiency in Java coding and its application in automation.
Extensive hands-on experience in test automation for web services.
Proven ability to design and implement test automation frameworks from scratch.
Experience managing the full lifecycle of automation projects, including CI / CD onboarding, defect management, and ROI evaluation.
Strong understanding of QA processes, test strategies, and tools.
Preferred Skills :
Knowledge of tools like Selenium, RestAssured, Postman, or similar for web services and API testing.
Development of mocks using wiremock, powermock or mockito
Experience with CI / CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI / CD, or Bamboo.
Hands-on experience with test harness design and implementation.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
