Pay Range: $52.27*
A Graduate Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to patients receiving cancer treatments in an outpatient setting. Strong emphasis on psychological support through patient teaching and interpersonal communication. This nurse interacts with a population of chronically ill, long-term patients and must perform technical skills repeatedly with scrupulous attention to detail. Patience, empathy and a sense of humor are critical to patient/staff relationships.
Qualifications:
- Submittal of application for Licensure and Limited Permit for a N.Y.S RN license
- Demonstrates knowledge of growth & development across the life span and the ability to use that knowledge to individualize the plan and delivery of care.
- Must maintain current BLS certification.
- Valid NYS RN license within one (1) year of receiving Limited Permit
- Rotation on Med/Surg and Clinical Assessment Training preferred but can be completed upon orientation if needed
