Job Description

The primary function of this role is to provide world class service / technical support, troubleshooting, repair, decommissions & installations, and servicing of industrial X-ray equipment. Products include industrial X-ray equipment, robotics, electrical/electronic control, PC, PLC, and motion controls.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Onsite visits, phone, email, or remote support media in support of diagnosis and repair of industrial test equipment; including but not limited to high voltage generators, electrical panels, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Personal Computer (PC), control software and automation components.
• Collaborate with internal NSI support teams and departments for training, problem resolution, and future improvements.
• Travel to customer sites for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, decommissions & installations as well as emergency service.
• Ensure that all customer concerns are addressed, documented, and the appropriate follow-up is taken.
• Provide customers with timely updates regarding ETA onsite, required materials / supplies for preventive maintenance.
• Assist manufacturing with trouble shooting, system integration and testing as needed.
• Work with the Service administrative team on scheduling, ordering parts orders, returns, RMA’s, etc.
• Train customers in basic operation and maintenance when applicable.
• Complete all required documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
• International training travel as required for NSI and OEM manufactures.
• Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to phone/remote support.
• Assist in system moves and/or system qualifications where needed.
• Assist with incoming and outgoing shipments as required.
• Assist in the development of work instruction or procedures as required.
• Much of the work will be completed at customer sites with up to 80% travel required.
• Overtime and weekend work as required
  
  

Qualifications

• Specialized vocational training or certification or an associates degree in a related field are preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years hands on experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret schematic and electrical diagrams
• Ability to interpret blueprints, fabrication & assembly drawings.
• Strong ability to use electronic test equipment such as Oscilloscope and Multi-meter
• Ability to communicate effectively in a professional manner
• Ability to work independently with a high sense of urgency
• Ability to maintain composure in high pressure situations
• Ability to manage service schedule that results in timely service for customers
• Strong customer service/communications skills with a high level of professionalism
• Experience with resolving technical issues in a highly sensitive / secure environments
• Experience working with multiple levels within an organization
• Skills to operate & handle hand & power tools.
