STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS :
All employees of North Star Mohican Casino Resort must meet the following qualifications.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Mohican Nation Gaming License.
- Must submit to a Criminal Investigation Background Check (CIB).
- Must maintain an acceptable departmental attendance record.
- Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug screening and health screening.
- Must be able to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS :
High School Diploma or GED is required. (Candidate must submit copy which demonstrates successful completion of diploma / transcript to complete application).DUTIES :
Must attend all training provided by North Star Mohican Casino Resort.Must adhere to all established rules, regulations, procedures, and policies of North Star Mohican Casino Resort and the Slot Department.Must participate in employee random drug testing program.Must be able to work with a variety of people with diverse personalities.Must attend all meetings, as assigned.Must wear the approved departmental uniform.Must be reliable and prompt when reporting to work.Must maintain compliance with all workplace policies, procedures, ordinances, laws, and other communicated expectations, including but not limited to : Employment Manual, gaming Ordinance, State Gaming Compact, Minimum Internal Controls, Department Procedures, memos, and other communication from supervisory or regulatory personnel.Report to supervisor all repairs performed on all gaming machines (via slot maintenance book).Record progressive amounts daily.Repair progressive signs.Report to supervisor list of parts needed for gaming machines.Perform all duties of a key person and all other assigned duties.QUALIFICATIONS :
North Star Mohican Casino Resort is looking for a courteous and friendly individual.Knowledge of gaming machines, test equipment and progressive signs is required.A working knowledge of slot machine and video poker machine operation is required with a minimum of six months' working experience.Must have basic knowledge of AC / DC electronics.Must have mechanical background knowledge.Must know how to solder.Reading and understanding schematics is preferred.Must be able to read and understand part breakdown manuals.Must be able to follow instructions.Must have demonstrated ability to maintain satisfactory working record in any prior or current employment.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIROMENT :
Constant hand movements (repetitive motions : grasping, holding, use of finger dexterity).Frequent standing and walking and occasional bending, squatting, crawling, and reaching.Occasional lifting and / or moving ninety plus (90) pounds.Occasional climbing of stairs and ladders.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.Work is generally performed in a casino setting with a higher noise level and where cigarette smoke is prevalent.The work environment is non-smoking and dust-free; and noise levels may vary depending on location and work area.How to Apply : Application and resume can be submitted online by clicking on the APPLY button above.
