families. We are seeking a skilled Postpartum Doula/Newborn Care Specialist to
join our team and offer compassionate, expert care to parents and their babies.
Job Description:
As a Doula/Newborn Care Specialist, you will provide comprehensive physical,
emotional, and educational support to families during the postpartum period. You
will assist with newborn care, parental guidance, and recovery for birthing
parents, ensuring families feel confident and supported during this transitional
time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-home care at least two days or overnights per week on a
consistent basis
- Provide hands-on newborn care, including feeding, diapering, and
soothing.
- Support birthing parents with postpartum recovery, offering learned
guidance on physical and emotional well-being.
- Use expertise to educate families on infant care, sleep routines, and
feeding techniques (breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, or combination).
- Offer emotional support, active listening, and practical advice tailored to
each family’s needs.
- Create a nurturing and calming environment for parents and their
newborns.
Qualifications:
- Must reside in Minnesota
- Certified Doula and/or Newborn Care Specialist credentials (or equivalent
clinical experience, RN).
- Must be willing to take and pass our online assessment.
- 3 years experience providing postpartum and/or newborn care in home
or clinical settings.
- Strong knowledge of newborn care and breastfeeding support.
- Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, nights, and weekends based on family needs.
