About Us: North Star Pipelines is a leading underground utility subcontractor, specializing in wet utilities. Our company was founded in 1991 and has a reputation for high quality and reliable service. We work across Metro Phoenix and Maricopa County for commercial General Contractors. We are looking for a detail-oriented and driven Project Manager to join our team and support our underground wet utility projects.
Position Overview: A Project Manager plays a crucial role in planning, executing, and closing projects while ensuring that the project meets the agreed objectives and timelines. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of a project, from initial planning to execution and delivery. The PM ensures that projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget while meeting the client's or organization's expectations. The role requires strong leadership, communication skills, and a focus on quality, risk management, and resource allocation. This role demands someone who is highly organized, detailoriented, and capable of managing multiple stakeholders and moving parts. A successful Project Manager will be a proactive leader who can handle challenges and ensure that projects are delivered successfully.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages underground water and sewer pipe installation for individual projects
- Profit and loss responsibility for projects and company
- Manages employees, heavy equipment, subcontractors, and materials on projects
- Plans a safe project site and implements work activities in a safe way, every day
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Builds a productive team by positive attitude and leading by example
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
Qualifications:
- 5 years underground experience in underground wet utilities
- 8 years construction management experience
- Must be able to complete projects on time and on budget
- Must be professional
- Very familiar with computer use including email, spreadsheets, and other programs.
- Able to read and understand project plans and specifications
- Must be familiar with local codes and MAG specs and details
- Must have Competent Person training for excavations
- Must have a valid driver's license
- OSHA 30 preferred. Safety must be priority #1
- Must have a great positive attitude and be able to provide top quality customer service
- Must be honest and ethical
- Must have a good business reputation and verifiable references
- A deep knowledge and understanding of underground wet utilities and commercial contracting
