What are the responsibilities and job description for the Company Police Officer position at North State Security Group LLC?
The North State Company Police Department is currently seeking to fill a full-time opening for the position of Company Police Officer. Established in 2012 and comprised of over 32 sworn law enforcement officers, NSCPD is always seeking to add qualified members to our growing department. As one of the largest private police departments in North Carolina, members of our agency have the same sworn law enforcement authority as do municipal and county officers on our contracted properties.
Applicants who are selected for hire will be required to perform general law enforcement work on the contracted property and carries out arrests, and issue citations as needed. Must be able to write detailed reports for each property while onsite, using a laptop computer, regarding all details of any theft, injury, property damage, condition of the property, person’s onsite, enforcement action is taken, etc. Shall be required to respond to emergency situations, evaluate the nature and severity of the situation, and act accordingly. Escort employees, guests, and other duties as required.
Applicants must have completed the North Carolina Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) program and have passed the State Comprehensive Examination. If you are not BLET certified within North Carolina or do not currently hold a Law Enforcement Certification from an outside state, you are not eligible to be considered for this position. Newly graduated applicants and experienced law enforcement officers are encouraged to apply.

General Applicants (Officer/Deputies holding a General NC Certification)
1. Submission of an application for review.
2. Pre-screening interview with recruiter/command staff.
3. Submission of all required documents.
4. Background Investigation.
5. Medical Evaluation.
6. Firearms Course.
7. Final Offer and Hire.
